Tumblr could use a lot more feminism. Life could use a lot more feminism, as far as we're concerned. We are living in some scary times, especially if you are a women or person of color. We want you to fight back. So we're bringing you some history and quotes from kick ass women. And our hope is that you will be as inspired as we are. We welcome submissions and ideas.
Woman of the Day: Lucy Stone, she was a prominent American abolitionist and suffragist, and a vocal advocate and organizer promoting rights for women. In 1847, Stone was the first woman from Massachusetts to earn a college degree. She spoke out for women’s rights and against slavery at a time when women were discouraged and prevented from public speaking.
